I really can't remember where I heard about this one, online maybe? I really didn't know what to think about this book...but it sparked my interest. Fashion + Vampire... hmmm, that can either spell out pure disaster or pure genius...ok, maybe not genius but yeah, it can equal a really good read.

I had a hard time reviewing this one and it doesn't help that I read this a couple weeks ago...maybe close to a month ago! Here goes nothing:

When Kate McGraw takes up an offer from her rich aunt to move in with her during the summer in her ostentatious New York City apartment and take up an internship at Tasty, one of the hottest fashion magazines, she discovers several things wrong with the business. It's not all diets and fabulous designer clothes, something darker is going on behind the scenes, suddenly people in the fashion industry start disappearing and turning up dead. The rumors in the blog StakeOut about the higher ups being vampires don't seem too far off base. Are they really vampires? What will happen to our little heroine? Is she next? Pick up the book and find out!

In the end, I thought this book was okay, but just not my cup of tea. It wasn't torture to read, just a little predictable and not that much lovin'! I'm bad, I know. It was a mix between, Ugly Betty (the humor and fashion biz, not the lack of fashion sense), Devil Wears Prada and...some random vampire show/book...definitely not Buffy, although I never really watched Buffy, I at least know that Buffy was semi-action packed...this book wasn't.

If you like chick-lit and vampires, this might be a good one for you, don't be turned off by my opinion, check it out for yourself! To each their own, I always say.
